Grahame L. Thompson

Grahame L. Thompson, FCPA graduated from Charles Sturt University (NSW) with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting Major). Graduate diplomas with Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) the Governance Institute of Australia (GIA CG), round out his post graduate formal training.

 

Grahame is a Fellow of these two associations as well as, CPA Australia and The Tax Institute. Grahame is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with over 40 years’ experience. Initially acquired and developed within major corporations in Sydney for over 26 years. Since then, a mix between CFO roles, Executive Search and as practitioner of his own accounting practice.

 

Grahame served on various sized Boards for 40 years, commencing in retail finance, corporate superannuation and various Not-for-profits in both NSW and QLD. Grahame formally elected as a Director of King’s Christian College since 2010. 

As noted above, Grahame is also a Fellow of the Charted Governance Institute of UK & Ireland, since 1982. The local branch is known as Governance Institute of Australia (GIA). Therefore, the post nominals of FGIA FCG derive from the fellowship of both aligned Institutes.

 

As such Grahame is a qualified Company Secretary having demonstrated Company Secretarial skills for over 40 years.
